Control service-provider promotions without interrupting your account.
Identify an electricity supplier’s mailed offer
Confirm who sent the letter before you respond to it. Compare the sender name and contact details with your latest bill and with the utility's website. Reach that website from the address on your bill, not through anything printed in the letter.
Change a FirstEnergy Pennsylvania supplier-list preference
FirstEnergy’s Pennsylvania eligible customer list is a specific information-sharing choice. Its March 2026 notice explains how customers can remove their information from the list supplied to licensed electricity suppliers. This differs from asking one advertiser to stop a postcard or choosing a different electricity supplier.
Sort HVAC offers from your maintenance agreement
First write down who services your heating and cooling under your agreement. Then check each piece of HVAC mail against that name. Reminders from your provider about the agreement go in one group. Offers from other contractors, equipment sellers and plan marketers go in another. Keep the worksheet below to yourself, and keep your agreement and invoices private.
Ask about repeated internet availability postcards
Write to the provider named on the cards and ask whether your address can be excluded from that mailed campaign. The provider decides whether it offers that option, so ask rather than demand. Find the provider's contact details on its official website.
Reduce pest-control sales postcards
Send your request to the company named beside the contact details on the postcard, and ask it to stop printed sales messages. Claims on the card about pests near your home are sales copy. You do not need to answer them, and you do not need to describe any treatment, infestation or health concern to make the request.
Stop water-filter sales mail after an inquiry
If brochures started arriving after you asked a seller about a water filter, ask that seller to stop paper follow-up about your inquiry. Keep the request to its mailings. Notices from your water provider come from a different organization and are not affected.
