How to Stop Xfinity Junk Mail

Xfinity offers a specific opt-out for promotional postal mail. It is separate from preferences for calls, texts, service notifications, and door-to-door sales.

Start with Xfinity's official Manage your communications page. In the Promotional mail section, follow the online opt-out link and submit the address receiving the offers.

Opt out of Xfinity promotional mail

  1. Keep one recent offer. Use the recipient name and address exactly as they appear on the mailpiece.
  2. Open the official support page. Find the Promotional mail heading, not the separate choices for calls, texts, or home visits.
  3. Follow Xfinity's online link. Enter the requested contact and postal-address information.
  4. Submit and record the date. Keep the confirmation with the mailer you used.
  5. Allow up to 60 days. Xfinity says promotional mail can continue during that period after an opt-out.

What the opt-out covers

The request covers Xfinity postal promotions about special offers and new products. It does not automatically change the separate preferences for marketing calls, texts, informational messages, or door-to-door sales.

Current customers may still receive bills, service information, appointment notices, equipment messages, or other account mail. Those letters are not promotional mail and may be necessary to service the account.

If another Xfinity offer arrives

Wait through the stated 60-day period before treating another promotion as a failed request. If promotional mail continues after that, compare the printed recipient and unit number with the information submitted online.

Xfinity's privacy policy also says consumers can call 1-800-XFINITY and ask to be added to its internal do not mail list. Use that route if the online preference does not resolve the issue.

What this does not stop

The Xfinity preference does not cover mail from Spectrum, Verizon, local internet providers, coupon publishers, or unrelated advertisers. Use our Verizon mail guide for Verizon offers, or the U.S. junk mail guide to match each separate piece with its sender or list owner.

Where Junk Mail Magic fits

Use Xfinity's direct process when the brand is clear. For a mailer without an obvious sender or preference page, photograph the piece so Junk Mail Magic can identify the company and prepare the request.
