How to Stop Spectrum Junk Mail
Spectrum has a Do Not Mail list for customers and non-customers. Submit the postal address receiving the ads. The request covers promotional mail, not bills or service notices.
Open the Spectrum Privacy Preferences form. In the Marketing Communications Preferences section, find Do Not Mail. Spectrum says this choice adds the postal address to its list immediately, although marketing already in production may arrive for up to 60 days.
Submit the Do Not Mail request
- Keep one Spectrum mailer. Copy the name and delivery address exactly as printed, including any apartment or unit number.
- Choose your customer status. The form asks whether you are a current Spectrum customer.
- Enter the postal address. Complete the required contact fields so Spectrum can match the mailing record.
- Select Do Not Mail. This is separate from the choices for calls, email, targeted advertising, and data sharing.
- Submit and record the date. Keep the confirmation with the original mailer until the 60-day window has passed.
What the request stops
Spectrum describes the preference as a stop on marketing or promotional mail from Spectrum or its authorized representatives. It does not stop account notices, bills, appointment confirmations, service updates, or other non-marketing letters for current customers.
Changing an online advertising preference is not the same action. Make sure the postal Do Not Mail box is selected before submitting the form.
If Spectrum mail keeps arriving
Wait through the stated 60-day processing window. If another promotion arrives after that, compare its printed address with the one you submitted. A missing unit number, different recipient name, or alternate address format may point to a separate mailing record.
Spectrum's privacy policy also directs non-customers who want to join its marketing opt-out lists to call 833-845-3726. Use that route if the online request does not resolve the mail.
What this does not remove
The Spectrum preference only covers Spectrum marketing. It will not stop mail from other internet providers, coupon publishers, local businesses, political campaigns, or route-level programs. For those categories, use our U.S. junk mail guide to find the correct sender or list owner.
