Reduce wine-club sales mail without changing shipments

Ask the club to stop printed sales offers, and say that your membership and scheduled shipments are not part of the request. If you want to change a shipment, a payment or the membership, send that through the club's account channel in a separate message.

Send marketing and membership requests separately

  1. Sort the club's paper mail into account notices, such as shipment confirmations and billing, and sales flyers.
  2. From one flyer, copy the club name, the offer title and the mailing name and address.
  3. Type the club's web address yourself and look for a printed-marketing preference. If you cannot find one, ask whether it exists.
  4. In the request, ask that shipment, billing and other account notices continue.

What each request can change

Do not word the marketing request as a cancellation. Stopping flyers should not be expected to change a shipment, billing date or recall notice. If you pause or change the membership, ask the club how that affects mailed offers, because the account change may not answer that question.

Leave payment details and age verification out of the marketing message. Ask the club which records the request affects instead of guessing how it got your address.

Sample marketing-only request

Example for your own use. Replace the bracketed details and review what you share.

Please stop printed sales offers and promotional flyers for [name as printed] at [mailing address]. Please continue shipment confirmations, billing notices and other account messages. I am not asking to change my membership or shipments. If printed advertising requires a separate form, please tell me where to find it.

Confirm account notices still arrive

After sending the request, make sure the next shipment confirmation and billing notice arrive. If an account notice stops, write back, name the missing notice and ask the club to restore it separately from the marketing preference.
