Reduce loyalty-program mail without leaving the program
You may not have to leave a loyalty program to cut its mail. Some programs let you reduce postal mailings and keep your account, so ask before you cancel.
How to ask about mail within a loyalty program
- Log into your loyalty account or contact member services. Ask whether you can turn off or reduce postal mail while keeping your membership and points.
- Ask which mail the setting covers. Catalogs, coupons, and other offers may be handled separately.
- Make the change through the program's own account page or member services, and not through a link on a third-party site.
- Write down the date and ask for written confirmation, so you have a record if mail continues.
What to check before changing a setting
In some programs, mail preferences may be linked to coupons, birthday offers, or other benefits. Ask whether turning off mail changes any of them before you do it. If the program's website does not answer the question, ask member services.
Check your account afterward
After the change, look at your points balance and active offers to make sure they still appear. If a catalog from the same sender keeps arriving, you can photograph its mailing label and submit it through Junk Mail Magic. Unsubscribing from marketing mail is not the same as cancelling your membership, so say which one you want.

Have an unwanted advertisement ready?
Photograph one piece you are authorized to handle, with the sender and full mailing label visible. Review the details before submitting. The first request is free; the sender controls the response.
