Stop furniture showroom mail after deciding against a purchase
If you visited a furniture showroom and bought nothing, ask the showroom to end mailed sales follow-up. Because there is no order to look up, refer to your visit or quote so staff can find the record they mail from.
Point the showroom to your visit
- Get the mailer and copy the showroom name, the sender address, and the name and address printed on it.
- Write down what you gave them: a quote request, a design appointment, a sign-in sheet or a financing inquiry. Mention only what you remember, such as a quote for a sectional.
- Contact the showroom through its own website or store phone line, not a link in the mailer, and ask who handles mailed promotions.
- Ask to be removed from mailed sales follow-up. If you placed no order, say so, so staff do not treat the request as a cancellation.
A visit is not an order
You do not need to explain why you decided against buying. Start with the mailing name and address, then add the visit date or quote reference if you have it. Let the showroom say whether it needs another detail to locate the record.
If you paid a deposit or placed an order, keep that separate. Name the sales mail you want to end, and say that delivery or payment notices about the order should continue.

Check a second location
If a mailer comes from a different return address than the showroom you visited, ask your first contact whether your request covers that location. Record the date, the person you reached and their answer so a later follow-up can cite them.
