How to Stop Wounded Warrior Project Mail
Wounded Warrior Project directs mailing-list requests to Donor Care. Ask specifically for postal fundraising appeals to stop, rather than using a veteran-program contact or an email unsubscribe alone.
Email the published mailing-list contact
WWP's contact page has a Mailing List Update section directing stop-communication requests to donorcare@woundedwarriorproject.org. Its donation FAQ also gives the Donor Care phone, 1-877-832-6997.
Put the paper-mail request in the subject line. Include the name and full delivery address from the envelope, plus any donor or mailing code visible on the reply card. If your label has an old surname or a missing apartment number, describe that version as well as the correct address. A correction and a request to stop appeals are two different instructions.
Please stop Wounded Warrior Project postal fundraising appeals addressed to [printed name and complete address]. The mailing or donor code is [code, if shown].
Please confirm which paper-mail record you updated. I am requesting a fundraising-mail preference change, not a change to my donations or veteran-program participation.
Donor Care is different from veteran support
The contact page separates Donor Care from the Resource Center used by warriors and family support members. Use the donor route for an unwanted appeal. Do not include medical history, benefit claims or military documents merely to identify a fundraising envelope.
If you participate in a WWP program, say which fundraising mail you want stopped and which program contact you want to retain. Ask Donor Care to clarify the scope before requesting no contact of any kind. A broad communication request may not express what you mean when you only want less paper.
Check the full charity name
Keep the envelope or a readable label photo until you receive a response. Similar veterans-charity names do not establish a shared mailing list. A request to WWP is not a request to PVA, DAV or another organization using wounded-veteran language in its appeal.
Separate unfamiliar appeals into their own notes. Use the sender's official website to find its contact, not a privacy address guessed from its name. The PVA guide explains that organization's distinct postal route.
Ask what the confirmation covers
The cited pages do not publish a fixed postal cutoff. Ask about mail already prepared and save the date of the preference confirmation. A later envelope is useful evidence for follow-up: compare its label and code with the record you originally supplied.
Stopping paper appeals does not itself cancel Advance Guard monthly giving. If you also want to change a gift, make that a separate, explicit request to Donor Care. Keep payment details out of an ordinary mailing-list message.
More than one veterans charity in the pile?
Each organization keeps its own list. Photograph another unwanted appeal with its sender and address label visible. We prepare a request for that sender; your first request is free.
