How to Stop St. Joseph's Indian School Mail

St. Joseph's Indian School has a postal removal option, but it is inside an expandable preference on its form. Choose that option rather than the mailing-list signup. Name sharing and email have separate controls.

Expand the postal adjustment, not the signup

Open the Communication Preferences form. In Postal Mail, select “Adjust the amount of postal mail I receive.” This reveals the choice “Remove me from your mailing list.” The nearby add-to-list checkbox is for signing up, not removal.

The same postal adjustment offers monthly, quarterly, twice-yearly and annual mail. Choose a reduced schedule only if you want to keep some paper correspondence. “Do not share or rent my name” is independent of the postal schedule. Select it too if that is part of your request.

The form asks for contact information, including a required email address. If you are completing it for someone else, its instruction is to use that person's details. Get their permission and use the printed record; do not replace their name with yours and expect the original label to be found.

Use the published fallback for a special request

The privacy policy lists saintjosephs@stjo.org and 1-800-341-2235. The form itself recommends email when it lacks an option you need.

Please stop postal appeals to [name and complete address printed on the mail]. Please also mark this record not to be shared or rented to other organizations.

My label identifier is [identifier, if shown]. Please confirm these preferences and tell me whether birthday greetings require a separate exclusion. I am not requesting a donation change.

For a damaged label or two different name versions, explain what you can read and attach only the relevant label if needed. There is no reason to send a complete financial statement to describe an unwanted envelope.

Birthday greetings and email need their own decision

The policy describes a birthday-greeting program with exclusion through the same email or phone. If that correspondence is unwanted too, name it explicitly. Do not assume a postal fundraising preference answers every question about the program.

Email preferences appear in a separate area of the form. Changing paper mail is not evidence that email subscriptions changed, and the reverse is also true. Necessary gift-related customer-service messages may continue after an email opt-out, according to the policy.

Save your choices, not just the acknowledgment

Keep a note of the postal schedule, sharing choice and any birthday request. Ask for the current processing window; the cited pages do not promise a specific last-mail date. If another piece arrives, compare its addressee and identifier with the record you supplied.

St. Joseph's Indian School and St. Jude are different organizations. Make a separate request to the sender named on each appeal. A broad preference service also has coverage limits; do not assume it overrides a charity's own donor record.

Another appeal you want to stop?

A preference at St. Joseph's does not remove you from unrelated charities. A readable photo of another mailer helps us identify its sender and prepare a request. Your first request is free.
