Separate a store's paperless billing from catalogs
A store's paperless billing setting covers statements and receipts. Catalogs are marketing mail, and they may be controlled somewhere else, such as a separate preference center or a request to customer service.
How to separate billing and catalog preferences
- Log into your store account and open the communication or mailing preferences. Look for a catalog or marketing mail option that is listed apart from billing delivery.
- If your settings show no marketing mail option, contact customer service and ask whether catalog mail can be changed separately from billing.
- If a catalog is already in your mailbox, photograph the front or label so the sender name and your mailing label are readable. Then submit a removal request for that mailer through Junk Mail Magic.
- Write down the date and method of each request. If catalogs keep coming, you will have a record to refer to when you follow up.
Why one setting may not cover both
Some stores keep billing and marketing under one preference record, and others handle them separately. From the outside you cannot tell which applies, so ask the store whether turning on paperless billing changes catalog delivery. Get the answer before you assume either change covers both. Cancelling an account or a card is a different step from unsubscribing from marketing, and you do not need to cancel anything to stop catalogs.
Confirm what each setting covers
After you make a change, ask the store in writing which mail types it covers, and keep the reply. If catalogs still arrive, that reply is a clear starting point for a second request. You can also submit the catalog itself through Junk Mail Magic, and the result will come by email from the service. For terms, see the pricing page, and for help, Junk Mail Magic support.
