Keep a marketing request separate from a billing address change
A removal request submitted through Junk Mail Magic asks a sender to stop mailing you advertising. It does not change the billing address on a bank, card, or retail account. Update that address with the company directly.
How to handle both without mixing them up
- Look at who sent the piece. If it advertises a store or service you already use, you probably have a marketing record and a customer account with that company, and each needs its own change.
- Update your billing address by signing in to your account on the company's website or by calling its customer service line.
- Once the account shows the right address, photograph the advertising mail and submit the removal request through Junk Mail Magic. Review the details, sign in, and submit the photos you want to send.
- Check your next statement or sign in to your account again to confirm the new billing address. The removal result will come by email from the service, and the pricing page explains terms.
Why one request does not cover both
A company can keep its advertising lists and its billing records in separate systems, so a change in one may not appear in the other. A removal request is aimed at the advertising side. Updating your billing address does not stop promotional mail either. If you want both results, make both requests. If a piece has a faded or incorrect name on the label, tell the service what it can see, since the label affects how the recipient is matched.
What to watch after the change
If advertising still arrives after some weeks, photograph the newest piece and submit it again. If you want help with a particular mailing, write to support through Junk Mail Magic support. For catalogs and subscription mailings, see the related guides.
Instructions for the next step
Have an unwanted advertisement ready?
Photograph one piece you are authorized to handle, with the sender and full mailing label visible. Review the details before submitting. The first request is free; the sender controls the response.
