Fix a photo that cuts off the apartment number
It is easy to cut off the bottom of a label when it sits near the edge of a large catalog. The result is a photo missing your apartment or suite number and ZIP code.
How to retake with the full label
- Place the catalog flat and look at where the label sits. If it is near a corner or edge, aim the camera so there is margin beyond the label on every side.
- Frame the shot so a little of the catalog cover shows around the label. That tells you nothing has been cut off.
- Tap to focus on the label text, then zoom in on the bottom edge in the preview to confirm the unit number and ZIP are there.
- If the label is at the very edge, turn the catalog so the label is closer to the center of the frame, even if the catalog ends up sideways.
Why the full recipient block matters
The recipient block, with its unit number and complete ZIP code, is used to match the piece to the recipient's records. A photo that cuts it off leaves out part of the label, so retake it. Do not type in a missing unit number or ZIP from memory. The photo should show what is actually printed on the label.
Retake and zoom in before moving on
Zoom to the bottom edge of the label in the new photo. If the unit number and ZIP code are there and sharp, the photo is ready to upload.
