Stop season brochures after a one-time performance
Write to the venue's box office or marketing contact and ask it to stop general season brochures. In the same message, name the booking you want left alone and say whether you still want updates about that production.
Write a two-part request
- Keep the booking confirmation nearby so you can give the performance, date and name on the booking.
- Check the brochure and the venue's official site for a contact or preferences option, and see whether it mentions printed mail.
- Decide which updates, if any, you still want. One option is a notice about a date change for the show you booked.
- Ask the venue to stop season and subscription brochures by mail, and list the updates you chose to keep.
- If you booked through a ticketing service, ask the venue whether it or the service holds the mailing record.
Booking and brochures
Ask whether a brochure request affects your booking record or receipts, and keep your own copy of the confirmation. If you are also a subscriber or donor, name that relationship and say which mail from it you want to keep.
A presenting company that performed at the venue may mail separately. If a brochure names a sender you did not write to, contact that sender directly.

Before you send it
Read the request once more and check that the keep and stop choices cannot be confused. If you want no promotional mail at all from the venue, say so plainly and remove the line about production updates.
