Check options for marketing sent to a business address
Start with the sender’s own preference route for supplier advertising at a business. DMAchoice’s published FAQ describes consumer prospect mail; it does not settle every business-address situation. If you want to use the program for that address, ask it about eligibility before registering.
Divide the mail before choosing a route
- Confirm who is authorized to change the business’s advertising preferences. Give uncertain pieces to that person before sending a request.
- Separate retail catalogs addressed to a person from supplier promotions addressed to the company or a job title. Record the addressee exactly as printed.
- Set aside actual statements, bills and required tax, licensing or other official notices. A bank or insurer can send advertisements too, so the organization’s name alone does not decide the pile.
- For each unwanted supplier promotion, locate the vendor’s published contact route. State which promotional recipient record you want removed.
- Ask DMAchoice directly about coverage if a consumer catalog is arriving at the business address and you want to use its broader program. Keep any answer with the registration record.
Name the label in the request
Copy the addressee line exactly, including any job title or department. A sender can only act on a record it can find, and the label is the clearest pointer you have. Do not guess how the sender got the address.

Send the supplier requests
Give the authorized colleague a short sender list with a proposed action for each: retain the reference, request fewer promotions, request removal, or verify the piece. This lets the office make decisions without passing around invoices or personal mail.

Choose the route that matches the mailing
Use the official route described in this guide for this kind of mail. For a separate ordinary advertisement, Junk Mail Magic can help prepare a sender-specific removal request.
