How to Stop Road Scholar Catalogs

Road Scholar lets you change print and email preferences in your account. Turning off email does not stop a paper catalog if a mailing interest is still selected.

Change the paper preferences, then save

Follow Road Scholar's mail and email settings instructions. On its website, use Sign In/Register, open the Account menu and choose Account Settings.

Review the mail interests for brochures and catalogs, not only the email-frequency choice. Clear the paper interests you no longer want. Scroll to the bottom and choose Save. Cancel discards the changes, so simply closing the page is not the final step.

The help page illustrates additional interests for fundraising and the alumni magazine. Check those separately if that is the piece reaching you. Do not assume a travel-catalog change also covers every other publication.

If you cannot access the account

The Managing Your Account guide provides password-reset help. If you do not know which email is on file, it directs you to call 800-454-5768.

Have the printed recipient name and delivery address available. Explain that the problem is paper catalogs, not a trip booking. Do not create another catalog request to test the address; that is the opposite of removal.

Please stop Road Scholar paper catalogs for [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code]. The publication on the cover is [title].

Please help me update the postal preferences for this mailing record. I am not asking to cancel a trip or delete my account. Please confirm which print interests were changed.

This wording can help you explain the request to support. Copying it does not send anything or change your Road Scholar settings.

You can keep email without keeping catalogs

Road Scholar's help explicitly separates email frequency from paper interests. Keep the emailed trip ideas you want while changing the print choices. An email unsubscribe alone leaves selected paper mail in place.

Its account guide says catalogs are mailed to the United States, Canada and Mexico. These instructions concern that print program, not a promise that every country has the same account or support process.

When another catalog arrives

The cited instructions do not give a final-delivery deadline. Keep a private record of the saved settings or support reply. Compare a later label with the name and address you changed.

A spouse's name, a former address or a different publication deserves a specific follow-up. Ask support to identify that record rather than repeatedly changing the same email setting. Never post your mailing label or account details in a public travel discussion.

A different travel brochure arrived?

Use Road Scholar's own settings for its catalogs. For another sender, photograph one piece with its full label visible. Your first request is free.
