How to Stop National Wildlife Federation Mail
National Wildlife Federation directs paper-mail preferences to Member Services, including requests from people who have never donated. Tell the team whether you want no appeals, fewer mailings or a change to name sharing. Magazine delivery is a separate question.
Contact Member Services for paper-mail preferences
The NWF FAQ directs removal, frequency and name-sharing questions to Member Services at 1-800-822-9919. The current contact page publishes info@nwf.org for Customer Service.
The two pages give different service hours. Use the current contact page when planning a call rather than treating the older FAQ hours as a guarantee. If writing, make the postal preference clear in the message itself; an email address is a communication route, not proof that an email-only unsubscribe changed paper mail.
Please stop National Wildlife Federation postal fundraising or prospect appeals for [name and full printed address]. My membership or mailing identifier is [identifier, if available].
Please also exclude this record from name-and-address sharing. I would like [any magazine or other contact to retain] left unchanged. Please confirm the preferences and which publication records they cover.
You do not have to become a member to ask
The FAQ describes prospect mail to people who have not contributed and directs those removal requests to the same team. It also provides a route for another person's unwanted listing, asking for the name and address as printed.
If the addressee has moved, describe that fact rather than signing the message in their name. If it is your own record under two spellings, provide both labels. Do not make a donation or open a new membership merely to obtain a number for an opt-out.
National Wildlife, Ranger Rick and catalogs differ
The contact page separates Member Services, Children's Publications and Catalog support. The FAQ likewise says to mention children's magazines when requesting changes, so the appropriate office receives the information.
For appeals you want stopped while keeping a child's magazine, specify both intentions. Do not include a child's personal details beyond what the relevant subscription office needs. If the unwanted item is a catalog rather than a fundraising letter, ask Customer Service to route that preference to catalog support.
NWF is also not World Wildlife Fund. Read the full sender name and return address before using the contacts in this guide. Similar conservation imagery does not mean the organizations share a membership account.
Get a specific answer about prepared mail
NWF explains that mailings are prepared in advance. Its renewal-notice guidance is not a postal opt-out deadline. Ask for the current preference-processing window and whether more than one record needs updating.
Retain the response and the next label if an appeal continues. Follow up with the unresolved sender and identifier. A preference about fundraising, a paid publication change and a recurring-donation change should each have a clear answer; do not treat one acknowledgment as evidence of all three.
Different wildlife organizations in the same stack?
NWF, WWF and Nature Conservancy keep different records. For another unwanted appeal, a clear sender-and-label photo helps us prepare a request. Your first request is free.
