How to Stop Humane World for Animals Mail
For Humane World for Animals mail, call Member Services at 866-720-2676. Ask for the postal schedule you want, including no fundraising appeals if that is your preference. Removal from its address-exchange list is a separate request.
Tell Member Services how much mail you want
The U.S./global Humane World membership FAQ says it can decrease correspondence. Give your full name, address and desired number of mailings. Its published membership contact is 866-720-2676.
Be specific about the kind of paper. “No fundraising appeals” is clearer than “less contact.” If you want to keep a magazine or donation receipts, name those exceptions and ask which preference support can record. The FAQ does not list a self-service no-mail checkbox or guarantee that every type of correspondence stops.
Please change postal fundraising preferences for [full name and complete address as printed] to no appeals. My membership number is [number, if available]. Please tell me if magazine or receipt preferences require a separate instruction.
Please also remove this name and postal address from the exchange list. I am requesting communication changes, not cancellation of a donation. Please confirm the records covered and the expected processing window.
Request exchange-list removal as well
The FAQ describes a postal-address exchange with other organizations. It publishes a written opt-out route: Humane World for Animals, ATTN: Member Services, 1255 23rd Street, NW, Suite 450, Washington, DC 20037. This is an additional preference, not a replacement for changing its own appeals.
Check the wording of the reply. “Removed from exchange” would not answer a request for no Humane World appeals. Likewise, reduced correspondence would not answer the exchange request. Keep the two decisions in your notes so you can ask about whichever one remains unclear.
Find the membership number on the reply card
The FAQ says the membership number is the second section of the letter-and-number series beside your name and address on the reply card. Member Services can help locate it if the card is missing.
Use the actual recipient's label. If two people in the household receive appeals, describe both records rather than giving only the street address. For an older Humane Society of the United States label, keep the complete sender wording and ask support to identify the record. Do not infer that this contact controls a local humane society's independent mailing list.
Prepared mail can arrive after a change
The FAQ gives eight to 12 weeks for mailing changes to appear because mail is prepared ahead. It also explains that a membership payment and renewal notice can cross in the post. Neither is a reason to pay again just to stop the next envelope.
Save the response and compare later pieces with the original label. After the stated window, a recent matching example is useful for follow-up. Monthly donation cancellation is a separate FAQ topic; changing mail does not authorize Junk Mail Magic to change that payment. See the charity-mail guide for other senders.
Check which animal organization sent the appeal
An appeal from a local shelter needs that shelter's contact. For other unwanted paper mail, photograph the full sender and mailing label. We prepare a sender-specific request; your first is free.
