How to Stop Food For The Poor Mail
Food For The Poor's FAQ directs mailing opt-outs to donorservices@foodforthepoor.org. Include the address you want opted out and state that the request concerns physical fundraising mail.
The FAQ gives the mailing contact
The Food For The Poor FAQ has a question covering mailings, phone calls and email. Its opt-out answer links donorservices@foodforthepoor.org and asks for the address, phone number or email you want opted out.
For paper mail alone, give the printed name and postal address. Do not send a phone number just because the FAQ also covers calls. If you want multiple channels stopped, list them explicitly so support does not have to infer whether an email address is a reply contact or another record to suppress.
Please stop Food For The Poor postal fundraising mailings for [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code].
This is a paper-mail preference, not a request to change my recurring donation. Please retain necessary receipts and confirm the postal record changed and the allowance for mail already prepared.
Food For The Poor is not Feed the Children
Check the name above the return address. Food For The Poor's contact uses foodforthepoor.org. A similarly worded appeal from Feed the Children belongs to a different organization and needs its own postal-preference route.
Keep the two labels separate if both are in the pile. Sending a request to the wrong charity does not give it control over the other charity's mailing list. A donation-processing address on a reply envelope also is not a substitute for the published opt-out email.
Keep donation receipts separate from appeals
The FAQ treats tax receipts as a different question: online gifts have email receipts, while offline gifts have regular-mail receipts. A postal appeal is not the same thing as an acknowledgment you may need to retain.
Say which material you want stopped. You do not need to attach a full donation statement or a copy of a check to identify a fundraising label. If support needs an account check, handle it through the organization's own contact rather than adding sensitive payment documents to a mail-removal photo.
If you support a particular program, state that you want the gift left unchanged. Do not use a mail request as an ambiguous instruction to cancel a sponsorship or monthly commitment.
Follow up with the record, not the whole pile
The cited opt-out answer does not publish a fixed postal wait. Ask for the current allowance and save the response with your request date. A reply saying your message arrived is not the same as a reply naming the mailing preference recorded.
If later appeals continue, provide one recent label and the earlier reply. Mention any name or address variation. For unrelated charities, return to the charity sender guide rather than asking Food For The Poor to stop everyone's mail.
