Stop Dover Saddlery Catalogs
Dover Saddlery's privacy policy expressly covers stopping catalogs and other communications. It also gives a separate choice about providing your name and address to other companies for promotions. You can state both requests without asking to delete a shopping account.
Use the policy's catalog contact
Under Your Choices, the Dover Saddlery privacy policy lists privacy@doversaddlery.com, 978-952-6300 and Dover Saddlery, 525 Great Road, Littleton, MA 01460. These are published contacts for the catalog and communications preference, not an inferred privacy address.
Identify the name and full mailing address exactly as printed. State that you want no Dover Saddlery catalogs or other postal promotions. If there is a customer or mailing code on the cover, have it available and include it if the team asks. A shopping email alone may not explain which paper label arrived.
The policy separately says to use the same contact if you do not want your name and address provided to other companies for promotional purposes. Request that preference explicitly if you want it. Stopping Dover's own catalogs and limiting that sharing are two instructions, even though the contact is the same.
A request covering catalogs and promotional sharing
Keep the second sentence only if you also want the sharing preference. This is a draft you can adapt and send yourself, not a form that submits from this guide.
Please stop Dover Saddlery catalogs and other postal promotions addressed to [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code]. Please also do not provide this name and address to other companies for promotional purposes. The unwanted catalog shows [mailing or customer code, if present]. Please tell me what preferences you recorded and whether there are duplicate mailing records for this label. I am not asking to cancel an order or stop necessary order communications. Thank you.
Do not use newsletter or order controls for paper mail
The policy describes email unsubscribe separately, and the site has an email signup area. Those email controls do not identify the street address on a catalog. Use the catalog contact when the unwanted item is physical paper, even if you also unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Questions about a purchase belong with order support, not in the catalog request. Do not send a card number, full receipt or account password to explain an advertising label. If the piece is addressed to a barn, company or someone else, clarify your authority and the exact record rather than assuming your personal preference covers everyone there.
Keep evidence for a later follow-up
Dover's policy warns that mailings are planned in advance and a preference can take several weeks or more to become effective. It invites further contact if unwanted communications continue. That is an allowance for planned mailings, not a guarantee about the last catalog you will receive.
Save the request date, any actual reply and a photo of the back cover. Compare a later piece for a different recipient, unit or code before following up. For SmartPak catalogs, use SmartPak's own form. A Dover sharing request does not establish that every other store has stopped sending paper to your address.
Keep the Dover Saddlery recipient line
Use the policy contact yourself to request a postal preference. A catalog photo can help identify its sender and mailing label. Exclude receipts, account details and payment information.
