Stop Bloomingdale's Paper Mail

Bloomingdale's lists a phone number specifically for unsubscribing from direct mail. Use that paper-mail route for catalogs and promotional envelopes, rather than changing an email preference and hoping it finds the address on your label.

Call the number listed for direct mail

Open the Bloomingdale's privacy notice and look under Managing Your Preferences. Its Unsubscribe from Direct Mail Communications entry gives 888-922-7026. That is the published paper-mail route, not a guessed privacy inbox.

Have the unwanted piece beside you when you call. Read the recipient name, full delivery address and any mailing or customer code the representative asks for. Say that you want postal marketing stopped, and ask what confirmation they can provide. Do not supply payment details just to explain which catalog arrived.

If the label uses an old spelling, a previous address or a household member's name, describe that label accurately. Ask how to handle separate records rather than assuming one request changes every person at the address. Keep a note of the date and the preference the representative actually records.

Email and associate messages have their own choices

The same notice describes promotional email unsubscribe links and account-profile settings. Those are email instructions. Its ten-business-day email allowance is not a paper-mail delivery deadline. The direct-mail entry does not promise that every envelope already prepared will disappear immediately.

Messages from a sales associate through B-connected are also a separate choice. The notice directs those requests to the associate, store or customer service. If both an associate and the catalog team contact you, explain both requests instead of treating a text-message unsubscribe as postal removal.

Words to use when you call

This draft keeps the request about advertising, not purchases, returns or closing a shopping account. Adapt it to the piece you received.

Please stop Bloomingdale's postal marketing addressed to [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code]. The unwanted piece is [catalog, postcard or promotional envelope] and shows [mailing code, if present]. Please check the paper-mail record and tell me what preference you recorded. I am not asking to cancel an order or stop necessary account communications. Thank you.

Keep card notices and other retailers separate

A credit-card statement, bill or fraud notice is not the same as a store advertisement. The privacy notice links credit-card preferences separately. Read the issuer and purpose of the envelope before requesting a change, and use the appropriate account contact for required notices.

A shared retail connection does not prove another brand's list changed. Use the Macy's guide for Macy's mail and this number for the Bloomingdale's label. If promotional mail continues, compare its label with your saved piece and tell the representative what changed. A request note is useful follow-up evidence; it is not proof that every mailing list has removed you.

Keep the printed Bloomingdale's label

Call the published contact yourself for a paper preference. A photo of an ordinary offer can help identify the sender and address. Keep credit-card statements and account documents out of the photo.
