Reduce zoo membership brochures without ending membership
Write to the zoo's membership office and ask it to stop printed upgrade offers and partner promotions. Name the membership and admission notices you still want. Say the request covers marketing mail only and ask the zoo to confirm that your membership stays unchanged.
Separate offers from membership notices
- Sort recent pieces into upgrade pitches, offers that name another business, and notices about admission or your membership.
- Copy the name and address as printed, plus any member or reference number on the piece. Do not send payment details.
- Find the zoo's membership or guest services contact on its official website and check whether it has a communication preferences option.
- Ask the zoo to stop printed upgrade offers and partner promotions, and list the notices to keep, such as renewal notices and admission confirmations.
- Ask who mails the partner offers, the zoo or the partner, and where to send a request for each.
When another business sent the offer
A logo or co-branding does not show who holds your address. If the zoo says a partner mailed the piece, you may need to send a separate request to that partner. Ask the zoo for the right contact, and use the partner name exactly as printed.

Route the next brochure
When the next brochure arrives, decide which pile it belongs in. Send a new upgrade offer from the zoo to the same office with the label text and the date of your first request. Send a partner offer to the partner by the route the zoo gave you.
