Capture a sender printed on the other side
Some catalogs and ad mailers print the company name on the back and the mailing label on the front. Your photo needs to show enough to identify the sender, so check both sides before you shoot.
How to handle a split-side mailer
- Flip the piece over and check whether the sender name also appears on the front, such as in a corner, on the spine, or in a return address block.
- If the sender name is on the same side as the mailing label, photograph that side with both in frame and readable.
- If no single side shows both, look for a website, phone number, or catalog code that confirms the company, and check it against the sender before you submit.
- If one photo cannot show the needed details, contact support before submitting.
Why one photo may not be enough
If the sender name and mailing label are on opposite sides and neither side is enough alone, the photo may not identify the sender. A return address, a brand name elsewhere on the cover, or a web address can often settle it. If none of those help, support can advise on that particular piece.
Confirm the sender before you submit
Compare the company name you plan to submit against something printed on the piece itself. Submitting without a confirmed sender may not reach the right company.
