Choose the right contact when a mailer has several logos

When a mailer carries several logos, it may be unclear which company holds your address. The advertiser, the distributor, and the featured brand can all be different companies, and the largest logo may not belong to the one you need.

How to identify the right contact from a multi-logo mailer

  1. Read the fine print for the organization that prepared or distributed the complete mailing.
  2. Check the return address and any postal removal instructions against that organization.
  3. If the responsible sender remains unclear, ask a verified company contact which organization manages this mailing.
  4. For Junk Mail Magic, use one photo showing the identified sender and full recipient label. Ask support first if those details cannot be shown clearly together.

Distributors and brands are separate contacts

A mailer from a coupon or advertising cooperative may feature several unrelated brands. The cooperative controls who receives the mailing, while each brand runs its own marketing. Contacting one featured brand may not stop the cooperative from mailing you on behalf of its other clients. If the fine print does not say who prepared the piece, ask each company whether it or an outside party manages the list that included your address.

Note which company you contacted

Record the company you identified as the list holder, along with the brand you recognized. If mail from the same source continues, that note shows you contacted the right party. The guide at the comparison of postal opt-out options covers routes for shared mailings.
