Keep label evidence without storing whole catalogs

You do not have to keep a whole catalog to submit a request or to remember which senders you have contacted. The sender name and your mailing label are the details to capture.

Capturing labels before you recycle

  1. Before recycling a catalog, photograph the part that shows the sender name and your mailing label together.
  2. Zoom in on the photo to check that you can read both the sender name and your address.
  3. Recycle the catalog once the photo is usable, then submit it now or save it in a folder if you plan to submit several at once.
  4. Keep the photo and a short dated note for each sender. The paper and the other pages can go.

What the photo needs to show

If part of your address or the sender name is cut off, the service has less to work with. If the sender name is on the cover but not on the label, photograph both, and if one photo cannot show the needed details, contact support at Junk Mail Magic support before submitting. Leave out anything with financial details, medical information, or someone else's name.

Keeping photo files manageable

A dated folder on your phone or computer holds the photos until you submit them.

Have an unwanted advertisement ready?

Photograph one piece you are authorized to handle, with the sender and full mailing label visible. Review the details before submitting. The first request is free; the sender controls the response.
