Stop the Informed Delivery daily email
You can unsubscribe from Informed Delivery emails and still use the dashboard to check your mail. USPS states this on its email-unsubscribe page. The change concerns the email digest; it does not stop letters or advertisements from reaching your mailbox.
Change the email preference
- Open the official USPS Informed Delivery email-unsubscribe page. Check that the address belongs to usps.com before using it.
- Follow the page's instructions and submit the unsubscribe choice. Save the confirmation privately so you know which preference changed.
- Sign in through the USPS website when you next want to use the dashboard. Unsubscribing from the digest does not remove that access.
- Review any package or delivery alerts you still receive. Those can have their own settings, so check the named service before changing another preference.
Keep useful USPS messages reachable
Blocking an entire sender in your email app can hide messages beyond the digest. Use the service's email choice when that is the only change you want. You do not need to close your USPS account to make it.
USPS says you can turn Informed Delivery email notifications back on later. If you are stopping the digest because you moved, review the address in your USPS profile as a separate task. The unsubscribe choice is not a change-of-address request.

Record what you turned off
Keep the name of the email preference and its confirmation date. If the unwanted item is paper advertising shown in a digest image, use the guide about Informed Delivery and junk mail to choose the next step.

Choose the route that matches the mailing
Use the official route described in this guide for this kind of mail. For a separate ordinary advertisement, Junk Mail Magic can help prepare a sender-specific removal request.
