Stop promotional mail after ordering family photos
Ask the company that mailed the offer to stop printed promotions. In the same message, say that your completed order, gallery and download access should stay unchanged. Separating the two keeps the vendor from treating your request as a reason to close anything.
Protect the order, then narrow the ask
- List what you still need from the vendor, such as a gallery link, digital downloads, print reorders or a warranty on framed items.
- Identify the sender on the mailer. A photographer, a school photo company and a print lab are different businesses. Write to the one named on the piece.
- Check the vendor's site for a mail preference. Read whether it applies to paper or only to email. An email unsubscribe may not change postal mail.
- Send the request below to the contact the vendor lists, and keep a copy with your order reference.
Do not close the account to stop catalogs
Deleting an account or cancelling an order could cost you the gallery you paid for. Ask for a marketing change only.
If the order is in another adult's name, that person should approve the request. Do not include a child's documents or school records.

Handle repeat mailers by label
If another mailer arrives from the same vendor with the same name line, reply to your earlier message and quote that line. If a different business sends it, such as a frame seller, send that business its own short request.
