Find out why email stopped but paper continues

If you unsubscribed from a sender's emails and paper mail still comes, the postal list may need its own request. Unsubscribing from email may not reach it.

How to deal with the postal list

  1. Check the unsubscribe confirmation for wording about postal mail. Some cover only email.
  2. Look at the paper piece for a return address, phone number, or web address for customer service or mailing preferences.
  3. Contact the sender there and ask whether your postal address can be removed from the direct-mail list, separately from your email settings.
  4. If you cannot identify the sender or find a contact route, photograph the full label and submit it through Junk Mail Magic.

Who may be handling the postal list

A sender may use one team or vendor for email and another for printed mail. An unsubscribe link reaches only the system behind it. When you write or call, ask which department or vendor handles the postal list so your request lands in the right place.

Ask for written confirmation

Ask the sender to confirm in writing or by email that your postal address has been removed, and keep that message in case mail resumes.

Have an unwanted advertisement ready?

Photograph one piece you are authorized to handle, with the sender and full mailing label visible. Review the details before submitting. The first request is free; the sender controls the response.
