How to Stop TD Bank U.S. Promotional Mail
For TD Bank paper promotions in the United States, use its U.S. Marketing Preferences route. Canadian TD contact instructions and online-ad settings are not the same choice.
Open the U.S. Marketing Preferences link
The TD Bank U.S. privacy page has a Marketing Preferences link. TD says it covers mail, telephone, email marketing and market research. Use the choice for paper mail; an email change alone does not establish that your postal record was updated.
The link opens TD's Enterprise Permissions Center. If it stays blank, will not load or leaves you unsure which record will change, the same U.S. privacy page publishes 1-888-937-1050 for questions about marketing preferences. An unopened screen is not a completed request.
Ask specifically to stop promotional postal mail, and say whether you also want to change marketing research or another channel. The public policy does not say whether the center requires a login. If you cannot reach the postal setting, ask support to record your paper-mail choice and confirm which mailing record changed.
Check the country and the TD business
These instructions are for the U.S. route at td.com/us, not TD Canada Trust. Read the sender and return address on the mailer before choosing a contact. A similarly named Canadian product or a separate auto-finance relationship should not be routed through a guessed U.S. setting.
If support says another TD business controls the mailing, ask for that business's official marketing-preference route. Keep the name of the team and the request reference. Do not assume a change to one record confirms a change to all TD-branded communications.
Do not confuse paper mail with online advertising
TD's privacy page also discusses Personalization and Advertising Preferences. Those choices concern online services and ads. A browser-cookie change is not the postal preference described in Marketing Preferences.
Likewise, a data-access or deletion request has a different purpose. If the goal is fewer advertising envelopes, ask for that specific channel before taking a broader action. Save only the confirmation you need; no bank password or identity document belongs in a general removal email.
Use the printed label for follow-up
Keep the recipient spelling, mailing address and promotion date. After making the request, compare any later envelope with those details. If the address has changed, ask support whether the old marketing record also needs attention.
For a credit-bureau prescreened offer, use the prescreened offer guide. That is separate from TD's own marketing record. The cited U.S. marketing section gives no fixed last-delivery date, so record the request rather than expecting the next envelope to prove success or failure.
Keep statements and security mail
Do not use a promotional-mail request to close an account, change payment instructions or suppress documents you need. Review unfamiliar bank notices in your authenticated account. Never upload statements, full account numbers, Social Security numbers, checks or identity documents to Junk Mail Magic.
Unwanted mail from another advertiser?
Use TD directly for banking preferences and identity checks. For a catalog or other advertising mailer, a photo helps us identify the sender and prepare a removal request. Your first request is free.
