Stop SoFi Paper Mail

SoFi publishes a direct-mail opt-out form that uses your name and street address. You do not need to open a loan application to use it. Account settings for email, texts and calls are a different route.

Use the address form for paper mail

Open SoFi's mailing-list opt-out form. Its direct-mail help article identifies that form as the postal route. The form has fields for first name, last name, Address 1, Address 2, city, state and ZIP code, followed by an Opt out control.

Copy the recipient and delivery address from the unwanted piece. Use the second address line for a unit or apartment when appropriate. Check the ZIP code before submitting on SoFi's site; an old address or missing unit can make a matching request less useful.

Do not mistake the separate email signup in the page footer for a postal preference. Keep any confirmation the form actually displays after you submit. Merely opening the page, or seeing thank-you wording in a search result, is not proof that your address was submitted.

Email settings do not identify the paper label

The help article directs email, SMS and call preferences to your signed-in account: your name, My Profile, then Account Settings. Use that route if you also want those channels changed. Do not assume an email unsubscribe finds every postal record bearing your name.

If you received pieces with different spellings or addresses, keep them together. Make a note of each label rather than assuming the first request covers every variation. If the form does not accommodate a particular label, ask SoFi how to identify that record.

Words for a paper-mail follow-up

This is a draft to use if SoFi asks you to explain a continuing mailing. It is not a second form or an email sent by this page.

Please stop SoFi postal marketing addressed to [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code]. I used your mailing-list opt-out form on [date]. A later piece shows [label variation or mailing code]. Please check whether that is a separate record and confirm the paper preference recorded. I am not asking to close an account or stop required account communications. Thank you.

Keep offer lists and account notices separate

A lender's own postal preference and the credit reporting companies' prescreening lists are different tasks. For an offer bearing a prescreen notice, read the related credit-offer guide and follow its official route. Do not send a Social Security number or credit report to Junk Mail Magic for that process.

Set aside bills, loan documents, collection notices and checks before photographing advertising. A marketing request is not an account closure, payment instruction or loan dispute. Compare later advertisements with your saved label and actual confirmation; do not treat a request as a promise that all envelopes stop immediately.

Keep the SoFi mailing label together

Use the published form yourself for a paper preference. A photo of an ordinary advertisement can help identify its sender and label. Do not upload a live check, account statement or identity document.
