How to Stop March of Dimes Paper Mail
Use March of Dimes' Communication Preference Center and its Mail and phone communication preferences section for paper-mail changes. The email-unsubscribe section is a separate route.
Open the mail section, not email unsubscribe
The Communication Preference Center separates mail and phone preferences, text messages, email preferences and personal-data management. For paper appeals, start under Mail and phone communication preferences.
The public page embeds the preference forms. Its headings identify their purpose, but are not proof that a request has been completed. Follow the instructions on the loaded form and review which channels will change before submitting. Do not assume a page titled unsubscribe turns off paper mail as well as email.
Please stop March of Dimes postal fundraising appeals for [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code].
Please keep necessary donation receipts and leave recurring donations unchanged. Please confirm the postal preference recorded and the timeframe for further prepared mail.
The general contact form serves a different purpose
March of Dimes' Contact Us page sends communication-preference requests to the dedicated center. Its general help form lists matters such as receipts, events and matching gifts instead.
If the embedded postal form will not load, return to the official contact page and ask for help accessing the mail-preference route. Describe the section that failed and the change you want. Do not use a donation form or enter payment details in an attempt to make an opt-out.
Keep a note of the page and date. A blank embedded area could be a browser or loading problem; it is not a confirmation that your address has been removed. You can try your regular browser without repeatedly sending the same identity information into unrelated forms.
Data management is not the same as less mail
A paper-mail preference concerns how the organization contacts you. A request to access or delete personal information is a different decision. Do not choose deletion simply because it sounds stronger if your goal is only to stop fundraising envelopes while keeping a donor record and receipts.
Read the form's scope carefully if you want phone calls stopped too. The shared heading does not mean every request changes both channels automatically. State your choices separately and keep the resulting confirmation so you can check what was actually recorded.
Check the label if mail continues
The preference landing page does not give a specific paper-mail deadline. Ask what allowance applies to letters already prepared. Save one envelope arriving after that allowance, along with the original request and response.
Compare the recipient spelling and unit number. A second record may explain why one version stopped and another did not. Use the charity-mail checklist for other organizations; changing March of Dimes preferences does not remove you from another sender's list.
