How to Stop Home Depot Promotional Mail

Home Depot's My Preference Center has a separate postal-mail section. Use that choice for paper promotions, not the email or survey opt-out above it.

Open Postal Mail Preferences

Go to the official Home Depot My Preference Center. Find Postal Mail Preferences and the button labeled “Opt Out of Postal Mail.” The surrounding instruction calls it “Unsubscribe From Postal Mail”; both refer to that postal section.

The Privacy & Security Center also links to Manage Preferences and explicitly covers direct mail and catalog mailings. Choose marketing preferences, not the adjacent request for reviewing, deleting or limiting personal information.

Use the paper label for the postal request

The preference page starts with email and phone lookup fields, but those are not a paper-mail removal confirmation. Follow the postal control and supply the delivery details it requests from your current mailing label.

Match the printed recipient, street and unit rather than assuming every address saved in your shopping account is the same record. Check the selected action before completing it, and save any confirmation. A search result, changed email setting or opened postal section alone does not mean the request finished.

If the control does not load or the request cannot be completed, use customer service linked on the official page. Explain that you are asking about postal promotional mail and have the label available. Do not put recipient details in a public product review.

Allow for the published mailing cycle

Home Depot says its mail process can span six to eight weeks from initiation through delivery and asks customers to allow that period for the opt-out to take full effect. That is a paper-mail qualification, not a promise that every delivery stops immediately.

Record the request date. If a later piece arrives, compare its recipient and address with the one you submitted. A different spelling, business line or unit can help support investigate a second record. Do not treat an already prepared promotion as proof that you must delete your account.

Email, surveys and phone calls have separate controls

The page has individual sections for marketing emails, survey emails, and marketing texts and phone calls. An email unsubscribe is not the postal button. Use only the channels you want to change.

The page also says marketing preferences do not affect account statements, online order details or customer-service inquiries. Keep these necessary communications distinct from an unwanted printed coupon or promotional booklet.

Check whether the piece is an account notice

A retailer promotion, credit-card statement and prescreened credit offer need different handling. For a statement or financing problem, use the authenticated account provider. Do not send a bill, card number or credit report through a junk-mail photo request.

For prescreened offers, the credit-offer guide explains the credit-reporting industry's separate route. A Home Depot marketing preference does not establish that another financial institution or unrelated catalog list changed.

Unwanted mail from another sender?

Home Depot publishes its own postal preference control. For another unwanted paper mailer, a clear photo helps us identify the sender and prepare a request. Your first request is free.
