Reduce paper appeals after a public-radio pledge
Contact the station's membership or donor services office, ask for fewer printed appeals, and name the receipts and updates you want to keep. Identify the pledge you mean so the station can find the right donor record. Ask it to treat the request as a mail change, separate from the gift.
Keep the request about mail
- Find the donor services contact on the station's official website, or use the return address on a recent appeal.
- Note the name and address on the label and roughly when you gave. You do not need payment details to ask about mail.
- Decide how many appeals you want: none, or only at certain times, such as pledge drives.
- List what to keep, such as gift receipts, a gift acknowledgment, or a newsletter or program guide.
- Ask which donor record the request applies to. If your household has more than one, ask the station to name each record it changed.
Changing the gift is a separate step
A request for fewer appeals is not an instruction to change a one-time pledge or a recurring gift. If you want to change the gift, contact the station's gift or membership office in a separate message. Only the station can say whether it can limit appeals by season or type, so ask what choices it offers.

Match the next appeal to a record
When the next appeal arrives, read the label and any reference code on the reply card. If it matches a record you named, send that code to the same contact and ask the station to check which list the appeal came from.
