Combine notes from repeated requests to one sender

A second request to a sender you have already contacted can make sense, but only if you know what the first one covered, which route you used, and how much time has passed. Scattered notes make that hard to judge.

Build a clear chronology for repeat senders

  1. If you have more than one entry for the same sender, review them together and confirm each is a separate submission, made on a different date or by a different route.
  2. Merge the key details into one chronological notes field: first request date and route, any response, second request date and route, and the mail you have observed since.
  3. Before submitting again, check the merged notes so you do not repeat the same route soon after the last attempt.
  4. If mail continues after several attempts, try a different route with the sender, such as a mailed letter if you used a web form, or ask Junk Mail Magic support for guidance.

Merging your notes is not merging official records

Combining your log entries gives you a clearer personal view of what you have tried. It changes nothing on the sender's side and creates no official record. Each submission was an independent action, and the sender may have received all of them or none. The merged log helps you choose a next step, but it is no substitute for a reply from the sender.

Resolve any duplicates in your log this week

If you suspect you sent more than one request to the same sender without tracking either, merge your notes before submitting again. Knowing what you tried first makes a follow-up far more focused.
