Set a useful expectation for a mail request
A processed request means a removal request was prepared for the sender. What happens next depends on the sender, so a slow or incomplete outcome is possible.
How to think about each stage
- Treat the result email as a record of what was prepared and submitted.
- Allow some time for the sender to act. Mail already printed or in the postal system may still reach you.
- If the same sender keeps mailing you after a reasonable wait, check that the result named the right sender, then write to the return address on the piece.
- If you have questions about a result, contact Junk Mail Magic support with the sender name and submission date. Do not submit the same piece twice.
Mailing lists versus accounts
Removing yourself from advertising mail is different from canceling an account, a donation or a subscription. A request to stop marketing mail does not end any of those, so use the sender's own process for them. The sender also decides how it handles removal requests, and the service cannot require any particular result.
Keep your records
Save your result email. If mail keeps arriving, it gives you details to quote when you write to the sender or contact Junk Mail Magic support.

Have an unwanted advertisement ready?
Photograph one piece you are authorized to handle, with the sender and full mailing label visible. Review the details before submitting. The first request is free; the sender controls the response.
