How to Stop Walmart Promotional Postal Mail

Walmart publishes a postal-marketing preference, with account and no-account contact routes. Its six-to-ten-week allowance is about paper mail already prepared, not email.

Choose the account or no-account route

Walmart's Communication Preferences & Alerts instructions tell account holders to sign in and open Communications & Privacy under My Account. Look for the preference covering postal marketing, not just email or push alerts. Follow the current account labels; this guide does not assume a particular hidden toggle.

Without an account, the instructions point to Store and corporate feedback and Company Feedback and Questions. Describe the channel you want changed and provide the corresponding contact information. If the page shows a human-verification check, complete it yourself. A blocked or unfinished contact page is not a submitted request.

A written alternative is Walmart Corporate Privacy, Privacy Office, MS #0160, 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716-0160, as listed in the customer privacy notice. Include the full printed recipient and mailing address, not only an email address.

Please stop Walmart promotional postal mail for [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code].

Please confirm the mailing record changed. I want to stop retail paper marketing while keeping order, service and required account communications.

Allow for mailings already prepared

The communication-preferences instructions allow six to ten weeks of continued postal mail after a preference change because campaigns are prepared ahead of delivery. That is not a guarantee that every mailing will end on an exact day.

The shorter processing estimates on the same page concern other communication channels. Do not use an email estimate to judge a paper request or assume a browser advertising opt-out has changed a physical mailing record.

Save the date, route and confirmation you received. If you posted a letter, a copy shows what you asked for but does not establish that Walmart matched the record. Ask for that distinction when following up about a later offer.

Retail advertising is not every Walmart-related letter

The privacy notice separates co-branded credit-card offerings from these marketing preferences. Check the issuer and return address on a financial offer. Prescreened credit offers need the credit bureaus' process; a retailer's postal choice is not confirmation of that separate opt-out.

Service notices, recalls and order information may still be sent. Do not request deletion of useful account information to solve a promotional-mail problem. A postal request is also not Walmart+ cancellation or a change to renewal billing.

If more paper arrives after the published allowance, compare the new label and sender before repeating the request. A card issuer, another household name or an old unit number can require a different record. Supply that specific difference through the official route, not a photo of unrelated financial documents.

Check who sent the Walmart offer

A photo helps distinguish the retail sender from a card issuer or another business. Change account preferences or complete provider verification yourself. Photographing a promotion does not cancel Walmart+ or change your delivery address.
