How to Stop Shutterfly Promotional Mail
Shutterfly describes separate account controls for email and postal discount offers. Choose the postal control if the unwanted item is Shutterfly advertising, not a card someone ordered and sent to you.
Find the postal discount setting
The Navigating Promotions & Special Offers article says offers can arrive by email and occasionally postal mail. For an existing account, it gives this route:
- Sign in to your own Shutterfly account.
- Open Hi, (Your Name), then Account & Settings.
- Scroll to Notifications & alert settings.
- Turn off the ability to receive postal mail discounts. Decide separately whether to keep email discounts.
These steps describe Shutterfly's published instructions. This guide does not access your account or verify a saved preference. Review any save control or confirmation shown in your current account and keep the date you made the change.
Manage Promos is a different control
The same Help Center article discusses Manage Promos for checking discount terms and applying offers to a shopping cart. That does not make it the postal mailing preference. A cart coupon checkbox is not a paper-mail unsubscribe.
Text-message STOP and an email unsubscribe also concern other channels. If paper advertising is the only problem, leave the channels you still want unchanged and use the postal setting.
If you cannot find the account that receives the offers
Keep the latest advertisement and compare its recipient and address with your own account. An old address or another household member may explain why the setting you changed did not match the mailed offer.
Use Shutterfly's official Help Center to reach Customer Care if the setting is unavailable or you cannot identify the record. Do not create an account in someone else's name. This wording can help describe the paper-mail issue to support:
Please help stop Shutterfly promotional postal discount offers for [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code]. I cannot find the matching postal preference in my account.
Please leave my photo projects, orders and necessary account messages unchanged. Please confirm which mailing record was updated and what allowance applies to offers already prepared.
The article does not state a fixed processing deadline for postal removal. Ask Customer Care rather than assuming an email response time is a paper-delivery deadline.
Distinguish advertising from cards sent to you
A birthday card, announcement or greeting card fulfilled through Shutterfly's mailing service is not necessarily Shutterfly promotional mail. The person who ordered it may have supplied your address. Changing your discount preference does not cancel someone else's order or remove you from their address book.
Keep private photos, account screenshots, passwords and payment details out of Junk Mail Magic. For ordinary advertising, photograph only the complete promotional piece and readable mailing label.
