How to Stop Hanna Andersson Catalogs
Hanna Andersson tells catalog recipients to identify the mailing list they want to leave. Its email instructions specify an Opt-Out subject and the details printed on the piece.
Use Opt-Out as the email subject
In Communications Preferences, the Hanna Andersson privacy statement gives customercarecenter@hannaAndersson.com and 1-800-222-0544 for marketing correspondence, including catalogs. Its email instruction says to use Opt-Out in the subject.
Include the name and address as shown on the catalog, and specify the mailing list rather than just writing unsubscribe. If you want to keep promotional emails, say so. You can ask for both channels, but make that choice explicit.
Subject: Opt-Out
Please remove [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code] from the Hanna Andersson print-catalog and promotional mailing list.
This request concerns paper marketing only. Please confirm the mailing record updated; I am not requesting account deletion or an email-preference change.
Replace the brackets with your own label details. If calling instead, keep the piece beside you and ask which postal record the representative found. Save a case number or reply so a later conversation can refer to this request.
Save mailing preferences in My Account
The statement also says registered users can edit mailing preferences in My Account and must click Save. Changing an email setting or leaving an edited screen without saving is not confirmation of a paper-mail preference.
Use that route yourself if you already have an account. There is no need to guess a password, open a new account or use someone else's login for a catalog addressed to you; the published customer-care contact is the other route.
If the account address differs from the catalog label, explain the mismatch to customer care. A checkout address edit and a suppression request are different tasks. Keep the original printed spelling available until you receive a useful answer.
The print-mail window is not the deletion window
Hanna says it keeps a Do Not Mail file and that arranged print mailers can take up to eight weeks for an opt-out to take effect. This is the provider's qualified paper-mail allowance, not a guaranteed final-delivery date.
The separate data-deletion process can deactivate an account. Do not choose it just to stop catalogs. Order and shipping confirmations can continue after a marketing opt-out, and customer service may still contact you about an order.
Hanna-Me-Downs uses a separate resale-service privacy statement. A Hanna retail catalog request should not be treated as a change to that service's account or mailing preferences.
Follow up with the label that still receives mail
Keep the date, subject and reply from your first request. If another catalog arrives after the stated allowance, compare the printed recipient and address before following up. A different household name or unit may explain why the reply does not cover that copy. Send the mismatch privately to customer care rather than posting the label online.
Start with the Hanna catalog label
A photo can preserve the printed name and address. Send the preference request or save account settings yourself. Catalog removal is not the same as deleting a Hanna account or changing a resale-service profile.
