How to Stop Country Door Catalogs
Country Door publishes a telephone route specifically for discontinuing promotional catalogs. You do not need to treat a catalog as an account-deletion or credit dispute to ask for less paper.
Call the catalog-preference number
Country Door's privacy policy, under Your Choices Regarding Promotional Catalogs, names 866-240-6114 for stopping those mailings. Tell the representative you want no promotional catalogs at the printed address.
Keep the label available during the call. Read the name, street, unit and ZIP code exactly as shown. If a customer number appears, explain that it is from the catalog you received rather than assuming it matches every account in the household.
Please discontinue Country Door promotional catalogs for [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code].
I want to stop catalog advertising, not close my account, cancel an order or change credit statements. Please confirm the mailing preference and how long to allow for catalogs already prepared.
This wording is a set of call notes, not an automatic submission. Ask which record was matched, and save any reference number the representative provides. No payment information belongs in a catalog-removal request.
Allow for the catalog mailing cycle
The policy says changes may take several weeks to affect delivery. Treat that as an allowance, not a guaranteed final-mail date. A catalog already in the mailing process can arrive after the preference is recorded.
Save the request date and compare the next catalog label before calling again. If it has a different name or customer number, mention that difference. If it matches the original, ask support to check the existing request rather than placing another catalog order.
A catalog-request button signs you up for a copy; it is not the opposite action you need. Likewise, an email unsubscribe or an SMS STOP instruction addresses another channel.
Advertising and account mail are different
If you have a credit account, continue checking statements, payment deadlines and required account notices. Stopping catalog advertising does not cancel a balance, a purchase or a credit agreement. Do not discard an envelope solely because Country Door also sends catalogs.
Country Door's policy covers several information-sharing practices. If those concern you, ask separately about the applicable sale or sharing preference. A sharing choice is not proof that Country Door's own catalog record has been stopped.
For catalogs from another brand, identify that brand and ask which records the representative can change. Do not assume one family-company request covers every sender. Have another household member request their own preference unless you are authorized to act for them.
