Acxiom Marketing Data Opt-Out Guide
Acxiom has a U.S. consumer opt-out for its marketing data products. The online request includes an email-confirmation step; filling the form without confirming is not the whole process.
Use the U.S. consumer opt-out
Open Acxiom's Opt Out Requests page and use the US consumer Opt Out section for a U.S. record. It requires a valid email address and a response to the confirmation email that validates the request.
If you cannot use a valid email address, the page offers 1-877-774-2094 and its prompts. The page has separate international instructions; do not use an international contact as a shortcut for a U.S. record.
I want to opt out of Acxiom marketing data products for [name as printed] at [full mailing address, including unit and ZIP code].
Please help me complete the U.S. consumer opt-out and explain the confirmation or verification steps. I am asking about marketing data, not Acxiom newsletter email preferences.
Use this as phone notes if you need help. It does not replace the official form or its confirmation step. Do not enter another person's contact details unless you have authority to act for them.
Finish the email confirmation
Keep the request page and check the inbox you supplied, including spam. Confirm through the genuine provider message. If no message arrives, ask the published consumer contact for help rather than assuming that a form submission completed suppression.
Acxiom says processing occurs within two weeks after the confirmation response, with more time possible before removal becomes fully effective. It says the opt-out does not remove data already provided to marketers. This is not a two-week promise that all paper mail will stop.
Keep the submission date, confirmation date and any completed-request notice separately. Those records help you describe the actual stage if you need support, without repeatedly creating another request.
Choose data products, not just website preferences
Acxiom's U.S. Data Product Privacy Notices describe its marketing-data business and consumer choices. Its website privacy policy distinguishes website information and Acxiom's own communications from those data products.
An email-preference center for Acxiom newsletters is not the same as the consumer marketing-data opt-out. Likewise, an access report or deletion request asks for a different outcome. Start with the opt-out when that is your goal, and seek clarification before selecting broader actions.
Continue dealing with individual catalog senders if needed. A retailer can still hold its own customer record, and Acxiom's limit on previously supplied data matters. Keep direct requests tied to each printed label instead of assuming a broker preference proves every advertiser stopped mailing you.
