Hand back marketing preferences when care arrangements change
When a helper steps back, give the recipient a handoff page. It should list which advertising requests are still open and where replies should now go. The recipient's own accounts do not need to change for the helper to leave.
Make the handoff
- List every advertising request you made with the recipient's permission. Include the sender, the date and whether a reply came back.
- Mark any request that gave your email address or phone number for replies. Confirmations may keep arriving there.
- Ask the recipient which contact details should replace yours, or which new helper they choose. Do not choose for them.
- For open requests that used your details, the recipient can contact the sender with the new details, or you can ask the sender with their permission. Do not log in to the recipient's accounts to make the change.
- Give the recipient your notes, then delete your copies once they confirm they have everything.
What changes and what does not
The handoff changes who follows up. It does not change whose choices count. A keep list or stop list the recipient approved still stands. If the next helper wants to revisit those choices, that conversation happens with the recipient, not on the handoff page.
Private handoff sheet
Example for your own use. Replace the bracketed details and review what you share.
Confirm receipt
Send the recipient and the next helper the same page and ask both to confirm they received it. Write the date of the handover on the page. If a reply reaches you afterward, pass it to the new contact.
